Brent Wirth is a visionary leader with a unique combination of clinical, operational, and financial expertise. He is deeply passionate about improving the lives of neurodivergent individuals, those with mental health challenges, and people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, as well as supporting their families. This genuine commitment to those served by Easterseals MORC drives every aspect of his leadership approach.
Since joining Easterseals MORC in 2005, Brent has provided dynamic leadership as President/CEO, helping the organization evolve and thrive amid increasing service demands and a constantly shifting health care landscape. Under his guidance, the organization has significantly expanded its reach, serving more children, adults, and individuals with disabilities since 2010, while simultaneously increasing revenue and diversifying funding streams to become more inclusive of community needs.
A cornerstone of Brent's leadership has been the development of strong partnerships with community stakeholders, including public and private donors, corporate partners, community organizations, government leaders, and MDHHS. These collaborations have supported growth and improved both access to and quality of care for neurodivergent people, those with mental health needs, and people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. His partnership with health systems such as Corewell have enhanced psychiatric training and residency programs. Recognizing the importance of talent development, Brent established strategic relationships with Oakland University and other institutions to make long-term investments in social worker training and development.
In 2022, Brent successfully led Easterseals through a major merger with MORC, expanding the organization's programs and geographic footprint while delivering more integrated services across a full continuum of care. Throughout this significant transition, Brent's unwavering focus remained on enhancing services for neurodivergent individuals, those with mental health challenges, and people with developmental disabilities who rely on the organization's support.
Under Brent's leadership, the organization has transformed from one with negative equity to a thriving institution with an outstanding culture that continually invests in its team and infrastructure. Today, while overseeing an organization of more than 1,000 employees
serving over 25,000 individuals, Brent remains most fulfilled by working directly with people and witnessing the profound impact of Easterseals MORC's programs on individuals and families with disabilities. His personal connection to the mission and dedication to improving the lives of people with disabilities continues to be the driving force behind his innovative and compassionate leadership.
