Cyndie is a Certified Public Accountant with more than 25 years of experience in accounting and financial leadership, with a deep specialization in serving nonprofit organizations. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting and a Master of Science in Professional Accountancy.
Throughout her career, she has been committed to helping mission-driven organizations strengthen their financial foundations, maintain regulatory compliance, and use financial information as a strategic tool to support sustainable impact. She spent 13 years in public accounting, working closely with a diverse range of nonprofit clients and gained extensive experience in audit, financial reporting, internal controls, and governance matters. Most of her career has been dedicated to the nonprofit sector, providing her with a strong understanding of the unique operational, regulatory, and funding challenges these organizations face.
She is an active member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) Nonprofit Section and the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants (MICPA), allowing her to stay current on evolving standards, best practices, and industry trends. Cyndie’s approach is collaborative, practical, and focused on helping organizations align strong financial stewardship with their mission and long-term goals.
Outside of work, she is married and a proud parent of three children. Her home is also shared with two dogs and two cats, who keep life busy and entertaining. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, spending quality time with her family, and being with her horse—an important source of balance and relaxation outside of a demanding professional role.
