I specialize in trauma-focused and cognitive behavioral interventions, and I am familiar with concerns related to depression, anxiety, mood and thought disorders, and relationships.

I have over a decade of experience working with young children, teens, and adults, and I use a combination of person-centered, solution-focused, and cognitive-behavioral approaches within my therapeutic approach.
I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Calvin College and a Master's of Social Work from Western Michigan University, and I have 10+ years of experience in the field.
My specialties include Motivational Interviewing (MI), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Parent-Child Psychotherapy, trauma assessments, and autism evaluations.
I specialize in children and adolescents ages 0-18 years, as well as adults in all stages of life. I have experience in parent-child relationships, depression, anxiety, trauma, anger, mood disorders, thought disorders, autism, and attachment.
I graduated from Grand Valley State with a Master's degree in Social Work and have been working in the mental health field since 2019, with a focus on children and adolescents. My approach to therapy is person-centered and strength-based. and I tailor every treatment plan to each individual's needs and goals.
My specialties include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing(MI), Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT-informed).
As a double board-certified Psychiatrist and Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist, I specialize in the evaluation and management of mental health conditions across the life span. Part of my work includes conducting specialty evaluations for Autism Spectrum Disorders. I went to Medical School in Virginia and completed my sub-specialty training at Harvard/Massachusetts General Hospital before moving to Western Michigan 7 years ago. I started out as a faculty clinical researcher, and over the past 20 years, I’ve worked with people of all ages in a variety of community settings. My passion is providing evidence-based, high-quality behavioral health care in a wraparound model. I’m known for my collaborative style, compassion, and comprehensiveness. I love working with families in particular and with the stellar team here at Easterseals MORC's Grand Rapids location.
As a Behavioral Health Clinician, I provide therapy and care coordination for a diverse population of children and adults. My clinical focus includes family and parent-child interventions, alongside the treatment of anxiety, depression, mood disorders, and personality disorders.

I graduated from Central Michigan University with a Bachelor of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders and a Minor in Psychology. I also have a Master's degree in Social Work with a concentration on Mental Health and Trauma from the University of Denver.
